Why Did I Create FitConnet?
I decided that I was going to design a community where people can communicate between like minded people. This community would be for fitness, nutrition, and wellness content. I was sick of going on Facebook and seeing unmotivating sad people and sad posts, I wanted to start a community where my friends, my friends friends and so on could all connect in a happy positive universe. This happy positive universe can inspire and motivate healthy lifestyles, provide knowledge, and overall connect like minded women.
What Else Do You Do?
I am currently a University Student at the U of M working towards my Teaching Degree, I also work part-time with Manitoba Agriculture. I am also an Arbonne Independent Consultant.
FitConnect’s co-creator, Jordan is also a Student at the U of M working on her Nutritional Sciences Degree.
Why Have I Incorporate My Arbonne Business With FitConnect?
My main goal when designing FitConnect was to provide resources to women who need them. This including women starting their health and wellness journey and not knowing how to do so. Or women who have started their journey but have no one to talk to about it and/or keep them accountable. Providing information on Arbonne through FitConnect was a perfect idea! Women who wanted fitness, nutrition and wellness products have the opportunity to ask questions and ask for advice on products in a low key environment. Women who are scared to enter a nutrition score filled with different products, or a beauty store being overwhelming by the endless possibilities. Ordering products from Arbonne is simple; you order online and it comes straight to your door!
I have seen so many women search for the "healthy" or the "clean" when in reality a majority of the products or supplements they are interested in are far from being healthy. And/or I have seen so many women claim they are healthy, but what they put on their skin (skin care/makeup) is full of toxins (this use to be me). With Arbonne I want it to be EASY to access quality products straight to your door.
What Has This Journey Been Like So Far?
Putting yourself out there is a scary thing. Starting 2 business's around the same time has been extremely difficult and more time consuming that I thought. Totally worth it tho. I am excited to see if FitConnect will be a success, and see how far I will get with Arbonne.
